I love being a family photographer because sometimes it allows me to catch up with friends I haven’t seen in a while. Of course I absolutely LOVE meeting new clients, but I equally love when past clients call me back to do their photos again. I love that we can all connect through photography, and I cherish the thought that they love my work enough that they want more! That’s always my ultimate goal with family photography – to get to photograph families through the years. I love seeing how each of them grows, and it always shocks me just by how much.
I took family photos for the Bair family last year, and I had the privilege of doing it again this year. This family is one of the sweetest you will ever meet. They are kind, generous and so loving with one another. You can tell that they are all so connected and I love being the one to capture that connection. They are the kind of people that will give you the shirt off their back and help you whenever you are in need. As I get older, I realize more and more that this is sometimes a rare occurrence.
I hadn’t seen the Bair family for a few months before I took these photos, and it was great to see them again! Like last year’s session, they wanted to start out their family photos at their house. Which, why wouldn’t they?! Their house is EPIC! Then, we walked through their neighborhood on the way to the beach near Carlouel Yacht Club and took a few more. We ended the session on the beach just before sunset. And holy cow, what an incredible sunset we got!! It was absolutely perfect. Thank you, Bair family, for choosing me to take your family photos again this year! <3
