Family Photographer – Tampa Bay, Florida

I love being a family photographer. The laughter, the hugs, and seeing the way each family member interacts with one another – it’s priceless. I love learning each family’s little nuances and quirks, their silly names they call each other. This is especially prevalent when there are little ones in the family… Meet the Queen’s 🙂

This session actually came about at Christmas time, when dad bought mom a sweet gift card from me for a family session. When he contacted me, he said they hadn’t done family photos since their son was under a year old. I always love being the one to update family photos. I love thinking about how the family will look at my images and see how much their kids have grown. Life always seems to be running faster and faster these days, and it’s comforting to know that my photography will bring them together for a few quiet moments of reflection 🙂

Any who I digress! So, we scheduled the family session for April on Anna Maria Island. I love shooting on this island, because there are so many cute, remote spots that not many people (except the locals) know about. I’ve scouted various areas on this island a bunch, but I love the areas I’ve been using lately for photo sessions most. The beaches are so CLEAN. The white sand looks pure and there isn’t any debris anywhere. Further, there’s hardly ever anyone there and the colors of the plants and sea grapes always just pop. It’s truly a beautiful, serene place.

The Queen family and I had a blast during their session. Connor, their little one, was super energetic and (I was told) very excited to take photos. He was a little sweetheart!! He loved our time near the water’s edge most – playing in the little waves with his bare toes. Connor was a trooper the entire session long. I loved running around after him and his parents. We even managed to snap a few of mom and dad alone 😉

Thank you, Queen family, for entrusting me with your family photos this year! I hope you enjoy these images for many years to come.
